Course description:
The aim of the course is to train experts capable of medium level management laboratory- oriented tasks for smaller food production firms, family businesses, canning industry firms, frozen food producers, and wineries. Intending to respond to labour market requirements the two-year program emphasizes relevant practical knowledge.
Careers:
Further studies: students obtaining average grades of 4.0 during the four semesters will be admitted to our college and take an undergraduate course in chemistry (students can choose wine maker analyst as a specialisation as well). Part of the credits received during the higher level vocational course may be considered.
Immediate employment possibilities:
- Food demonstrator assistent
- Medium level manager at commercial firms and businesses
- Mid-level manager of transportation, forwading and storage
- Technician of food preservation
- Vegetable growing and processing technician
- Any field of food production, procession or preservation
Focus of the training:
The programme emphasizes relevant practical knowledge compared to theoretical subjects. The students have their practice in our well equipped laboratories and external sites mainly in canning factories.

- Form of the training: full-time and correspondence training
- Language requirements: language exam is not necessary, 8 language credits are needed
- Entry requirements: intermediate school-leaving examination in two subjects
- Peculiarities (foreign/business contacts): The external practice sites are extremely varied covering the whole area of food industry thanks to the Chemistry department and the widespread company contacts of EGERFOOD Regional Knowledge Centre
