Course description
Our training is based on professional background acquired in the undergraduate course or in other forms of higher education.
The aim of the program is the training of experts capable of:
- performing educational and pedagogical tasks in public education, in vocational training, in higher and adult education
- teaching sports disciplines
- carrying out sports pedagogic (research, development, planning) tasks at all levels
- continuing studies in PhD program
Careers:
Physical education teacher and trainer work is a pedagogical activity to develop personality of chidren by giving them special (sports specific) knowledge and skills.
Physical education teachers can do a lot to improve the poor state of health of Hungarian population when working as sports recreators, sports managers or trainers in and out of school besides their teacher position.
Sending their students on sports competitions, physical education teachers can win a good reputation not only for themselves but for their narrower and wider environment equally, including their school as well.
Job opportunities and chances: Those having graduated will find an excellent variety of carrier opportunities (physical education teachers, leisure time organisers at schools; managers, sports recreators, animators, lifestyle organisers, trainers at fitness centres; trainers, sports organisers, sports managers at sports clubs; sports officials at local govenments, etc).
Hungarian physical education teacher degree is accepted all over the world.
Focus of the training:
Graduates are commited to healthy lifestyle and development of physical power, the maintenance of a harmonic balance between the human and natural environment.
Based on the knowledge acquired during the physical education trainer B.Sc program, the course aims to emphasize educational and methodological aspects, along with school tasks.
The practice-oriented training is provided by different trainings and school visits, in addition to brainstorming techniques and projects used in seminars.
General information:
- Name of qualification in the degree: Teacher of physical education.
- Course length (year/semester/credit): 2-5 semesters depending on preliminary training.
- Form of study: Full-time and correspondence education.
- Language requirements: Intermediate, complex (oral and written) exam.
